A Season of Giving
Wishing you a belated happy Thanksgiving and offering early holiday wishes for a wonderful Diwali, Hanukkah and Christmas season from all of us here at the Rare Disease Foundation!
We are pleased to have added almost 300 new members to our network this year, and we want to thank all of you for your ongoing engagement with us.
We have continued expansion of our Parent2Parent resource networks from coast to coast and, we’ve been successful in leveraging new funding from the R. Howard Webster Foundation in Montreal that will effectively double our capacity to fund rare disease research over the next three years! We have a Memorandum of Understanding with Global Genes of Orange County, California with a view to having them become our US-based research funding partner. Several new initiatives were only made possible by the generous encouragement and support of our general membership and skilled volunteers from coast to coast.
It’s in that spirit that we would like to ask you to keep our organization in mind if you choose to make a charitable donation before the end of the current year. We pride ourselves on having low overhead with only one staff member supported by a large team of fantastic volunteers donating their skills and expertise. If you plan to make a donation please keep us in mind so we can continue to do our work, helping you and your family, and many more like it across the rare community.
If you would like some financial advice or have any questions related to a possible donation, feel free to contact our partner, Patrick Murphy, CFP of Secura Financial at PatrickMurphy@SecuraFinancial.com or 1-613-538-1884 for guidance.
Finally, keep your eyes open for the next issue of our bi-annual newsletter coming out by the New Year.
