Petition calls for Rare Disorder Legislation.
“[CORD is] petioniong to: Define a “rare disorder” as a life-threatening or chronically debilitating condition or disease with a prevalence in Canada of fewer than one in 2,000 people and to Implement a national drug policy in regard to the treatment of rare disorders.”

Bringing in this kind of legislation is the first step in ensuring better health care for the 1 in 12 people in Canada suffering from rare disorders. Currrently we are on of the few developed countries that have no rare disorder legislation. Let’s catch us up with the rest of the world by ensuring that all of our citizens have access to life sustaining and life saving therapies.
