Rare Disease Foundation
Were you, or someone you love, diagnosed with a rare disease? The Rare Disease Foundation is driven by a passionate team of dedicated volunteers who want to make a difference in the rare disease community.
Peer2Peer Resource Network Volunteers
We are currently looking for volunteers who are interested to start and lead a Peer2Peer Resource Network in their area; please contact us if you would like to discuss this opportunity to give back to your local rare disease community in this way.
Find out more information on our Peer2Peer page here.
Grant Writing Volunteer
Grant writing is key to the Rare Disease Foundation’s (RDF) fundraising efforts! In particular, grant funding is vital to our Mental Health & Wellness Programming – it funds how we directly support the mental wellbeing of so many people across Canada living with a rare condition and their family caregivers.
Do you have a passion for formal writing? Would you like to contribute your writing gift to support the rare community in a profound way? Do you have 2-5 hours a week to dedicate to volunteering your talents?
Ideally, you have previous grant writing and/or reviewing experience, but it is not necessary, if you are the right fit with our team.
If this RDF volunteer role sparks your interest, please email us to discuss our expanded grant planning for the 2026-2027 year: info@rarediseasefoundation.org
We would love to chat about your interest in contributing!
If you have any volunteering-related questions please email us at info@rarediseasefoundation.org.
